Every ukulele player develops differently. Lessons are personalized around the student’s experience, musical interests, and goals, whether they are picking up the instrument for the first time or building on skills they already have.
Learn open chords, transitions, and finger placement that make songs feel comfortable and natural to play.
Develop steady strumming patterns, timing, and feel so songs groove instead of stalling.
Build timing, counting, and phrasing so playing feels intentional and in sync with the music.
Apply new skills to the songs the student wants to play, from simple favorites to more involved arrangements.
Learn to read what you play and to hear chord changes, so picking up new songs becomes easier over time.
Build the confidence to play for yourself, with friends, or in front of an audience, at whatever pace feels right.
Two Ways to Learn
Ukulele lessons are available at our studio in the East Bay or online from anywhere, with the same personalized, one-on-one attention either way.
Sit down with an instructor at Golden Hour Sound & Studios. Hands-on guidance, immediate feedback, and access to the studio environment make in-person lessons a great fit for many students.
Join from home with a laptop or desktop. Online students receive their personal lesson link and setup instructions before each lesson, so the time is spent learning — not troubleshooting.
