Not sure where to start? Acoustic, electric, and nylon-string guitars can all work well for beginners. Comfort, guitar size, string feel, and the music the student wants to play matter more than one universal choice. If the student does not already have a guitar, our team can help match them with an instructor who can offer guidance before they buy.

Finding the Right Guitar

Most students begin with a standard six-string guitar. A 12-string guitar uses paired strings to create a fuller sound and is generally better suited to players with some experience. Guitar size and right- or left-handed configuration also affect comfort, so an instructor can help the student choose an appropriate instrument.
